Kobetasonik: 20 and June 21, 2008

entry in this festival also bought well in advance: the last day that lasted the offer of 100 € for two days. This time I made sure not to go alone inviting that at that time was my girlfriend.

I left Madrid on Thursday afternoon, spent the night at my ex in Vitoria, and Friday morning we moved on so far has been the festival has made me most liked. Luckily it had marked all the way from the A-8 because the roads and streets there are super curvy. Despite of the entries made me a buddy who lived next to the BEC in Barakaldo (the official festival parking), if not for the posters I would have missed without a doubt. After parking we took the Metro to the hotel we caught to make things, eat and give prisita to reach Kobetamendi.

FRIDAY SCHEDULE: Time 16:35 Gotthard THE Cavalera Conspiracy 19:30
Scenario 1 Scenario 2

When we after we took a bus to San Mames side we climb the mountain, we saw Fito trying to park. He drove a big black car, those that sell American now (probably a Dodge) painted with tacky rock flare. After the story we: Sonata Arctica was playing on stage 1, so we went to the stage 2 to take place to see the Cavalera Conspiracy well as in Getafe touched me see quite far. We got to a safe distance to see them well but not receive Ostia.

THE
Cavalera Conspiracy
traced almost gave a concert at Getafe, with the exception of playing I think Troops of Doom instead of Territory. We
we boiled because the sun was pretty strong at that time. I liked a lot, but not my ex because he does not like groups such beasts. Here's an excerpt: Inflikted

Then came the turn of Apocalyptica, and I play to move to scenario 1. APOCALYPTICA

The cellists took to give all accompanied by a drummer and gave everything a man concert.
Unsurprisingly people excited about the versions. I like Metallica lover declared ended up delighted. Some say they should not touch them and focus on their own issues, but I think if this gig would RICE half of followers. This was their setlist:

Refuse / Resist (Sepultura)
Grace
Fight Fire with Fire (Metallica)
Life Burns
Betrayal
One (Metallica)

Helden Last Hope
Seek and Destroy (Metallica)
Inquisition Symphony
Enter Sandman (Metallica)
The Hall of the Mountain King

The only thing that bothered me was his performance that put the damn smoke machine and not a moment dimmed (as shown in my video). One

GAMMA RAY

moving stage again to see the "tito Kai", in my opinion one of the best power metal (less pure, whatever is to say). We achieved a good site too and enjoy the great show he gave us. As anecdotes, Kai came to the top with sunglasses and then got rid of them, but the most surprised us was nosed bassist, what Uncle, what energy, he kept quiet. Here's his setlist:

Into the Storm
Heaven Can Wait New World Order

Fight

Rebellion in Dreamland Heavy Metal Universe
Land of the Free (I'm not insurance)
Ride the Sky (Helloween)
Somewhere Out in Space
Send Me a Sign

Send Me a Sign

The turn of the Ministry was noisy cenarse perfect time for one of those nasty sandwiches and search site for see Halloween as people were beginning to crowd the stage 2. HELLOWEEN

Pumpkin The show gave thanks to "new" singer (sorry but the time that I liked about this group was when Kai) which is a very funny guy, because he lives in English jabbered Canary and got the audience in his pocket, but his voice does not convince me much. On the rest of the ingredients I can only say that I left because it seemed pretty cool statues, especially one of the guitarists that were it not had to tinker with a foot could have sworn that his feet were glued to the floor. But despite all this the concert I really liked.
The bitch was that we missed the great moment when Gamma Ray also left the stage, played I Want Out Kai sung by the audience and threw lots of pumpkin-shaped balloons ... but we had to get a good seat on stage 1 for the legends of metal, Judas, and we took before I started the avalanche. They played these songs:

Halloween March of Time
Eagle Fly Free
A Tale That Was not Right
If I Could Fly Dr. Stein

I
Perfect Gentleman Can
Where the Rain Grows Power

The Keeper of the Seven Keys Future World

I Want Out

I recorded this video: Dr Stein

JUDAS PRIEST

Finally the time came, the reason I went to Bilbao to see the living legends of heavy metal. Caught a helluva site on the right side of the stage, which was not very full because coming here to go to stage 2 had to turn around the sound tower. And he started the thing: the cover the last record (the face of Nostradamus) as background sounded bright blue while the intro ( Dawn of Creation) and when it was completed and began Prophecy is his eyes lit up in red. Showed all members except one, and we all wondered "where is Halford? As he approached the part of the song in which the climax comes the letter was followed up because Rob does not appear anywhere. And then the miracle of one side of the 2 nd of the 2 plants that emerged on stage consisted fired the God of Metal adorned with the trident is the symbol of their group and not beneath a robe see even one square centimeter of his skin and began to sing. Apotheosis.
During the song moving all the attention focused on the 2nd floor of the stage like a rusty robot. With each song changed the background, popping the cover of the disc corresponding to the track played. In Breaking the Law was reached maximum madness, was along with the song Painkiller expected. When they played Death Rob came on stage sitting on a throne also pushed two guys wearing robes that covered his entire body. And the last surprise came with Hell Bent for Leather, as before the song was heard the roar of an engine and we knew what that meant: he would take the bike! And so, through the same door from which he emerged the throne the bike ridden by Halford, wearing a cap and leather jacket with studs. She sang the entire song sitting in the saddle. And that was the best, because for You've Got Another Thing Coming abused enough to make us sing the chorus. KK Downing and Glenn Tipton to say, are amazing, some teachers.
very good drummer but spent the whole show by throwing a stick into the air and then did not contain even half (I once saw a worker who approached him to let the hand that had thrown all and had fallen to the ground). Bassist little comment because from my position was not seen and did not move from his corner. Here I put the setlist:

Dawn of Creation
Prophecy
Metal Gods
Eat Me Alive
Between the Hammer and the Anvil
Devil's Child
Breaking the Law
Hell Death Patrol

Dissident Aggressor Angel

The Hellion / Electric Eye
Rock Hard, Ride Free

Sinner Painkiller
Hell Bent for Leather
The Green Manalishi (With The Two-pronged Crown)
You've Got Another Thing Coming

And my videos:

Breaking the Law

Painkiller
Now

videos I found of other people: Metal Gods

Eat Me Alive

Breaking the Law

Hell Bent for Leather

And that was it for the day, because from that we were busted, which I ex does not like Slayer and I already went to see them at the festival in Merida Via de la Plata as it decided to leave. Big mistake. We were not the only and the flood of people to catch buses were fatal. For me it was too hard because I'm used to the Metro in Madrid but for my poor companion Vitoria well ... Of course, the power to go to sleep at the hotel and not have to go to a tent is thanked lot.

And so began a new day. We left the hotel, we took the suitcase to the car, which was in the BEC! Barakaldo, and returned to the center of Bilbao to eat. And after giving a tourist vueltilla we went to the festival site again.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE: Time
Scenario 1 Scenario 2
13:45 Tigertailz
14:25
Latz 15:10 DEATH ANGEL
16:00 OBITUARY
16:45 ARCH ENEMY
17:40 Brujeria
18:50 TESLA
19:55 MSG
21:00 EUROPE
22:05 GOD
23:20 BLIND GUARDIAN
00:50 KISS
02:25 SAXON

When we were playing Witchcraft or Tesla in scenario 2 and watched from the hillside comfortably seated on the lawn. We realized that the times were quite late by the time you started the group of former Scorpions, Michael Schenker (MSG). During his performance call my ex's uncle, who was patrolling there to be a momentín because it had to be taking place to the legendary performance of Europe. We stand in the same place from which we saw Helloween and prepared to enjoy the show. EUROPE

summarize his performance in one word: disappointment. Very Light I saw the truth. Separate issue was the sound on stage 2 that day, I think reason for delays in the schedule, but still leave us quite cold. They left "song" for the final and most cabreante was that while the initial tuning sounded ... There was no one at the keyboard! Hell, probably the only time in life that I will hear The Final Countdown live and recorded put us tuning ... too bad.
These were their songs:
Love Is Not The Enemy
Always The Pretenders

Memories
Superstitious Sign of the Times
Carrie

Scream Of Anger Lebannon
Girl From Start From The Dark
Rock The Night
The Final Countdown

Commenting about the etched keypad went quietly to the stage 1 because we did not care much get a good seat to see the hobbit metal and that before the end we were going back to the stage 2 to try to see Blind Guardian best. So we saw the former Black Sabbath sit-on the side. DIO

I had placed much hope in this concert and I was frankly disappointed. As for Ronnie I have nothing to say, his voice is as exceptional as ever, but the group itself did not like for several reasons: in the first songs the instruments sounded much lower than the voice and had no keyboard, leaving orphans background melodies to many issues.
His setlist: Holy Diver

Killing The Dragon
Do not Talk To Strangers

Sacred Heart Rainbow In The Dark
Temple Of The King (Rainbow)
Kill The King (Rainbow)
Rock & Roll Children Man
On The Silver Mountain (Rainbow)
Catch The Rainbow (Rainbow)
Long Live Rock Roll (Rainbow)

After Rock & Roll Children returned to the stage 2 and we got in the same place from which we saw Europe. BLIND GUARDIAN

This was the most excited to show my ex because it is the group that likes everyone who went to the festival, and we are quite happy with his performance. Happier if we had left they had not touched paying the price for delays of hours, but that headline never expected. The consequence was that they played almost half an hour less than stipulated.
must also say that the lighting was very sad (the stage was practically all the time in penumbra) and the sound of the instruments sometimes fading. We

delighted with these songs: Into the Storm

Nightfall
Lord of the Rings
Imaginations from the Other Side

Bright Eyes Script for my Requiem
Born in a Mourning Hall
Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill)
Fly
Mirror Mirror
The Bard's Song (In The Forest)

And here are the videos I recorded:

Born in a
Mourning Hall

The Bard's Song

No sooner was the last great song we went into the race to stage 1 to try to get a good seat to see the Kissing . Had in mind going to the same place where Judas saw yesterday, but the crowds made it impossible. So, to our dismay we were in the same place from which we saw Dio. Luckily there were big screens. KISS

For his performance I have only one definition: The Greatest Show on Earth. They have assembled impressive circus. I recommend without hesitation that if someone has the chance to see them live, although not a big fan like me, the advantage because they never see anything like it on stage.
all had their moments of glory (some more than others, you know who's boss here.) All appeared to start falling from the top of the stage on a platform, Paul flew by a zip line above the crowd to the sound tower and sang a song from there, Genne later spit fire and blood, suspended by cables amounted to the top of the stage and sang from there another song, Tommy (Guitar solo) hit a single while throwing his guitar vengalas and Eric (drums) sang a couple of songs while playing as a platform they reached him and his instrument through the air.
And as a culmination of all this, for Rock and Roll All Nite a shower of confetti covered everything. Simply spectacular.

They played the repertoire of his legendary Alive:
Deuce Strutter

Got To Choose Hotter Than Hell
Nothin 'To Lose (Eric Singer on vocals) C'mon and

Love Me Parasite She

100,000 Years Cold Gin

Let Me Go Rock N 'Roll
Black Diamond (Eric Singer on vocals)
Rock N' Roll All Nite
Shout It Out Loud
Lick It Up
I Love It Loud
I Was Made For Lovin 'You

Love Gun Detroit Rock City

And here I leave videos of the best moments:

Deuce Entry +

Strutter
Got

to Choose

Tommy Thayer Solo (vengalas on guitar)

Genne Simmons spitting fire

Genne Simmons flies

Paul Stanley by the masses cheering

Rock N 'Roll All Nite

Love Gun (Paul with zip)

For Saxon we no longer had the strength. Had been two days that we had given everything and we look forward to trap the car and get to Vitoria to sleep as soon as possible. During the last song we approached the exit to run away as soon as finished and anticipate the avalanche, and saw something that not everyone has the privilege of seeing, as the way to the buses passed by behind the stage, opened the Kiss fence to leave the enclosure just as we passed us. We were inside the security cordon that she ran to stop the flood of people behind us, so we saw them down the stage, get on a van with tinted windows (one for Genne, one for Paul and a third shared Tommy and Eric, to make it clear who sent it) and move to our side. Great shot for the best festival I've ever been before.

As with the Electric Festival, to see more pictures I refer to the official website section Photos.
