been a long, long time waiting to see a concert by the locals who caught me well (you have to see how little comes from Madrid!). The concert was part of the tour (if 4 months 5 concert tour may be called) to present his latest album called Theory of Allegiance. Both the latter as the former two are available to download for free on their web , is already rendered in the fight against piracy and hire a publishing house / dealer and does not come out profitable.
The final event was framed in a mini-festival called Metal Knight Fest held at the mythical club El Grito de Fuenlabrada. I was lucky not to have to go alone because my brother and his friend also like the group, so there we planted the low price of 10 euritos.
The two national groups supporting band were completely unknown to me: Aleister and Cardinal. The former were more amateur than the latter and propose a very strong metal with a death voice. Unfortunately one of the guitarists had enough sound problems and even absent for almost a whole song trying to fix. I remember only the title of one of her songs, Children of Men. They also played a version, the well-known Cowboys from Hell Pantera . I also remember that the lead guitarist called himself Captain Morgan (also wore a sticker with that written on his guitar) and that the singer was very concerned about good pose for the photographer who sent RafaBasa (where as usual I can feed to illustrate my blog entries).
A Cardinal components they looked more professional (other than well-fed, because except others wore a shiny bellies sticking out under their shirts). I liked a lot because combining heavy metal, pure and simple with a progressive touch, also the singer seemed really good, reminding me in style much to former Judas Priest and Iced Earth Tim "Ripper" Owens (though he chose for his performance an unfortunate shirt exaggeratedly marked him and let out the flab below the belly as he raised his arms). Also drew attention to rhythm guitarist, who was the spitting image of James Hetfield in the '80s: strapless black shirt, black wristbands, curly brown hair, beard and white explorer guitar model. As an anecdote told us that the bass was new and took with them only a week and had gotten a palizón to learn all the songs on Face the concert.
The room was quite empty, and I expected to finish Sentinel full capacity, but it was not. On the contrary, half of action of Albacete looked back (we were practically front row) and the room was as empty as the opening act. A real shame. Certainly the conditions were not the best for a good entry (remote place January costs, low advertising), so hopefully in concert in Barcelona and Madrid switch to something better.
They played these songs (do not know if the order is either 100%): My Name
Grudge
The Judgement
Look
Feel compassion
Dulce Cold
Stronger Panic
Like a Hurricane! Uncontrolled
Wound
Although it took me to get out for some technical glitches, the wait was worth it. We had like dwarfs because we were practically the only ones that really emocianábamos and we knew the letters (especially my brother) Cano had a lot of complicity with us (as you can see in the videos I recorded). A discharge of heavy metal of the highest quality, with a huge Cano. His voice I liked it better live than on disc. The only but I have to put the guitar I had in front (I do not know his name because it is new and that after a recent internal crisis replaced both guitarists) failed in some solos. Precisely what was on the same guitar strap as I have.
Conclusion: What a shame that a band of so many categories it is having a hard time to survive. I wish you the best of luck. Here let the videos that I recorded:
My name
Grudge
Look
Cold
Stronger
Like a Hurricane!
Wound
